Winter Walking

Winter Walking: Prices Below

Winter walking is a highly rewarding activity; this course is a great starting point for the summer walker/climber who wishes to extend their experience within the hills. Or for the winter walker who wants to sample the delights of winter climbing. It is a demanding course that requires a good level of personal fitness, and if climbing a good head for heights.

Our course will be tailored to fit your needs and aspirations, whether you want to improve your winter navigation or sample a winter climb.

The course content will be driven by the current conditions on the hills, although we will always make the most of the conditions by allowing the programme to vary; however we can aim to cover; the use of ice axe, crampons, movement on steep ground, rope work, navigation, avalanche assessment, weather, and snow shelters. The skills and knowledge will be taught whilst in the mountains.

The course can run for two of three days at your request.
